Denmark is known all over for it’s Vikings, but also their great story writer H.C.Andersen has found the way into most peoples hearts. We would like to give you an introduction to Denmark, showing some of the diversities the small country has to offer.
Welcome to wonderful Copenhagen, - needless to say – A City with never ending possibilities day or night! Copenhagen, with its world famous landmark - The little Mermaid – the capital of Denmark, with an airport less than 20 min. from the city centre has become a popular spot, not only for tourists, but also as the centre for conferences or incentive activities.
While you are here you should not miss out on spending some time in The Queen’s city. Pay a visit to the beautiful Amalienborg Palace (Winter Residence of the Royal Family), Rosenborg Castle (where the crown jewels are kept), The world famous Tivoli Park, the colourful old canal district of Nyhavn, the Old Stock Exchange or one of the many museums – just to mention a few other major sites.
The entertainment and shopping possibilities in Copenhagen are numerous. A range of excellent restaurants or cafés offers you a wide variety of first class menus, all kinds of concerts are held throughout the year, and you find a nightclub for every taste in the bustling nightlife of Copenhagen. With the longest pedestrian shopping street – Strøget – in the world, lined with all sorts of speciality boutiques, and several outstanding department stores you are guarantied to make a good buy, while shopping here.
From Copenhagen you have easy access to Northern Zealand, also with many popular attractions – such as the magnificent Frederiksborg Castle, today serving as Denmark’s National History Museum. The well preserved Knights’ hall is among the Most spectacular rooms in this beautiful Renaissance Castle. And not to forget Kronborg Castle – the legendary home of Prince Hamlet.
